Counseling Children with ADHD: Three Focus Areas for Professional Counselors
Article 71
Full description
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects millions of children in the U.S. every year. Symptoms of ADHD may negatively affect a child’s school, home, and social environments and cause challenges well into adulthood. Professional counselors may play a central role in helping children with ADHD successfully manage this disorder through focusing on three areas of concern including conflict resolution, motivation and self-efficacy, and self-esteem.
