Counseling Couples with a Trauma History

Practice Briefs

Contributors: Catherine J. BrackGreg Brack

Couples with a trauma history are those in which one or both partners have a history of trauma -that is unrelated to combat since there is a separate literature on combat trauma- and has led to significant traumatic symptom displays. The trauma may have preceded or followed the couple formation.
